A Traveller’s Lucky Penny (All Expense Paid Cebu Vacation)

  

         For a Traveller like me, there is no better vacation than an all expense paid trip especially when you are in one of the country’s top luxurious resort which is located in the heart of Visayas and it’s called SHANGRILA MACTAN CEBU…

         As a Traveller, our number one priority besides our safety and trying to explore a place is our BUDGET… As much as possible, we should try to look for the cheapest but best itinerary a tourist could ever experience in that certain place. So we should not spend beyond our estimate expenditure. Coz’ you don’t have to disburse a lot of money just to satisfy yourself and enjoy the place. But in this case, they are exempted because they are not travellers at all and lucky for me, they just brought me along with them… :-)

         Special thanks to my wonderful Aunt Noli, Uncle Efren and my Cousins CT, Kimchi and Mikee for including me in their pampering, costly and lavish vacation… coz’ I couldn’t afford this kind of vacation, a 15,000 per room per night and it includes breakfast buffet, free shuttle to Cebu City and beach facilities.

         Here at Cebu City, It’s like you’re in Metro Manila too, because of its fast growing development, you wouldn’t see the difference between the two cities at all. What captured me in Cebu was their uniquely tasting LECHON at C&T stalls located almost anywhere in the city, it’s better than Luzon’s version. Very yummy that you tend to crave for more, it’s like shutting down your satiety center because you never get satisfied and you try to taste for more... Which is by the way, very bad for our health…

         I also visited the historical places like the Magellan’s Cross and Fort San Pedro . But the best part of the vacation is the resort itself, once you’re in Shangrila Mactan, you wouldn’t want to leave the place because the spot itself is already a top tourist destination…

My Wedding Vow

      
        I want to start by describing what I am before I met you. Before I met you, I was a person who did not know life. I don’t know how it works and I just took everything for granted. I was childish, selfish and irresponsible. I don’t have a direction or a future. My path was dark. But all of that changed when I met you… When you came, seems like all of me has changed. You never forced me to change but you influenced me into being a better person. Suddenly, I saw the big picture and realized how beautiful life is with you… Because of you, I became futuristic, thinking not about my future, but ours. This I can say that a boy now becomes a man. I am now responsible to all the things that I do like for example, staying away from temptations because I never want to see you get hurt. I know that you knew before you met me that I’m that kind of guy who is truly loyal and faithful to the person he loves. You saw in me what I did not see in myself. You saw all the good things in me as well as the negative side. But still, you accepted me whole heartedly and you loved me wholly. I’m so blessed and thankful to have you… So everyday I am really thankful to God because he gave you to me. He knows that I needed you. So each and everyday, I have entered a commitment to dearly love, protect, appreciate and give importance to you till’ the very day that my life will be taken from me but I strongly believe that even in the after life, I will still love you so much. From the moment my eyes first gazed at you I knew that you were the one that I’ve been waiting for, you are the one that I will romantically spend the rest of my life with. The truth is at first when I’m making this vow to you. I never knew what to write because there are no words to say in describing the happiness that I’m feeling right now that you are In front of me in this very very very special day. And now it seems to contradict me because I don’t know how to end my speech. Now, it seems that my lifetime is not enough for me to say all the great things that I’m feeling right now because I have you in my life. So maybe I will finish my speech but my vow will still be undying. That I will never promise because promises were made to be broken but rather I will commit to whatever comes out from my mouth… That I, Armie Lawrence Leyva Yuson, will treat ___________ as the true princess of my existence, my partner through whatever situation and my wife who truly and greatly loves me… And I would release these words of assurance that I will always remain loyal and faithful in loving you and that I would love you for the rest of my time…

My Own Little Perfect World

        Most people think, actually, a majority of them say that I have the perfect life… That I have the perfect family, perfect lifestyle and perfect in everything that I do… That every time I hear perfect, I just hear another expectation from me… And it’s so tiring living to those expectations of people around you. Not just your family members, not just your friends but those who knew the background of your family.

        Well, most of them, actually, all of them are wrong… coz’ I’m not perfect and I’m sick of hearing those faultless expectations from me… coz’ the truth is, I’m very far from being excellent, I make a lot of mistakes and failures in life, too much to say that I’m far from the description PERFECT… and right now, I’m already tired of using the word perfect in all of my sentences. But there’s one thing that I’m very proud of, I always come back big time, whenever I fall, I just climb up to another level of rock from where I fell… That’s just ME, I never give up on things. I always work hard for what I need and want in my life…

        When I was 9 years old, I realized that I have the gift of writing as well, that through my writings, I could express the exact words that I would want to say to anyone… I write poems, short stories, scripts, songs and anything that my heart wishes to shout… So now, I started writing these blogs for me to share to other people what I have learned in my experiences in life… The great lessons that I have encountered, the values that I have gained, the people that are valuable in my life, the things that we should never take for granted, the gifts that we should be thankful for like our nature and how big our faith should be to our God who gave everything to us. Maybe through my writings, I could inspire people to cherish what they already have and just make the most out of it…

        Whenever I write, it’s like I create my own little perfect world that is very far from my reality of unanswered expectations… It’s the perfect place for my escape where I can be the REAL ME… And to those of you, who are reading my blogs are very welcome to enter in my world and when you leave, hope you’ll bring something of ME with you…

A Prized Recognition (Gawad San Luis)

        

          Praise to GOD! These are the very first words that I would like to say… I am so thankful to our almighty GOD for giving me great blessings in my life specifically this achievement that me and my group have done.

         In our Medical career, me and my group have come up with a research regarding THE COMPARATIVE STUDY  ON THE ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTY OF CHLORELLA (CHLORELLA SP.) TABLET AND GLUTATHIONE TABLET. We didn’t expect that our hard work would be recognized nationwide as well as in the international scene through the 20th Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology on October 19, 2009 and in the 43rd Annual Convention of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC) on January 21 to 23, 2010 which was both held at UERMMMCI College of Medicine Auditorium, Quezon City. Also, it was published in the E-International Scientific Research Journal 2009. And our latest award would be the highest form of honor given to students of Saint Louis University, the 4th Gawad San Luis Award on March 11, 2010 for promoting a high caliber of excellence of Louisians, not only in the Philippines but around the world as well.

        I am grateful to have a wonderful group as well as great friends namely PHYLLIS BENGWAYAN, JEMUEL LAYGO, ALLYN PACIO, JENNIEL LOVELY POYAOAN and JAARMY REBUGIO. Thanks to these guys, for without them, our research wouldn’t be getting recognitions that it has today. These people will surely be great Doctors in the future. And of course, thank you to our powerful GOD for using people like DR. LEO EMMANUEL BUNAG (Department Head of Pharmacology and Therapeutics) and DR. JOHN ANTHONY DOMANTAY (Dean of College of Medicine) for seeing the potential of our research.

       These momentous experiences will be forever carried and remembered within our hearts… Truly, if You have a gigantic GOD, enormous blessings will come and this is just the start…

        I’ve been back to Bohol for countless of times and I always stay at the same resort… For me, this is the best resort in the Philippines… It’s my favorite resort of all time… It’s where I found the peaceful and relaxing setting that I’ve always been searching for especially when I want to escape the stresses, pressures and problems in my real world… Few people stay here so it seems like you’re the only one staying at the resort and it owns a long stretch of beachfront where there is white fine sand and just by walking into it makes your soul feel at ease… I love to kayak in the beach, it calms me down… There are 3 pools and 2 restaurants with fine dishes especially their seafoods. And the people working there are one of the most accommodating staff I’ve ever known, up to the point that I’m getting free meals each time I dine there. It’s like you’re the owner of the resort on how they treat you. It’s a very large resort and it’s BOHOL BEACH CLUB located at Panglao Island. And if you stay there, I guarantee that you’ll be coming back or maybe you won’t leave anymore…

        Besides the breathtaking beach resort as well as the underwater treasures. There are a lot of things to do in Bohol… and one of my top things to visit is the LOBOC RIVER’S FLOATING RESTAURANT. It’s a romantic setting which is perfect for lovers and together with the delicious buffet is the sound of the beautiful quiet nature where you can see the unwinding waterfalls and feel the sweet breeze of the wind accompanied by soothing music done by the locals as you travel the jade green color of the enchanting river…

        Other places to visit are the popular Tarsiers, although they are endangered so you are not allowed to touch them, my tourist guide brought me to a place where I can hold these little creatures… Also, the Architectural beauty of the OLD CHURCHES are a must see. And of course, who would forget the scenery that made Bohol as one of the top destinations around the world, our CHOCOLATE HILLS.

        There are new rising destinations around Bohol like the extreme adventure named THE PLUNGE... BUKO KING where he uses his teeth to peel of the coconut shell within 6 to 7 seconds, He was featured on TV… There are also majestic waterfalls around Bohol that are popular swimming locations…

        As time goes by, there are more and more discoveries of what Bohol can offer next to tourists like me but in the end, It’s nice to know that after visiting these wonderful spots around Bohol, You will end up resting in a perfect pampering alluring resort… And this is why I love to keep coming back to BOHOL…

        This movie is definitely in my Top 5 Hall of Fame… It really kept me glued to the whole story from start to finish… If you want a real movie that would show how true great love works? It’s this movie. The twists and suspense are enthralling and exhilarating. It’s a love story that is 2 years in the making. I guarantee that you will be obsessed with the mystery. And you will definitely hate the antagonist so much. This movie is starred by Josh Harnett, Diane Kruger and Rose Byrne, all are familiar faces in popular movies such as National Treasure and Troy. I felt their characters so I could say that they portrayed it beautifully… There are many lessons to learn from this movie besides love. It also shows that even the closest and most trusted people in your life can lie to you and hurt you so don’t trust them so much because they would also want to be in your place and would do everything possible for you to go down and for them to be happy, it’s a selfish human nature and it’s a little bit sad because it’s true in real life… I’ve also learned that no matter how accomplished you are in life and no matter how high you have achieved in your goals, it would be all meaningless without love…

        This movie allows us to see a love story that would surpass all odds… that eventhough, many people would attempt to destroy your love by keeping the two of you apart through deception or by any other means, true great love will always find a way for you and your loved one to be destined together… Their love story wouldn’t be sweet and meaningful if they haven’t gone through the tests of time. This movie is thumbs up for me, it made me cry especially in the end… So I encourage you to give this movie a try, you won’t regret it…

To My Princess Who is concerned,

        First of all, I would like to say thank you for everything, for giving me a chance to live my life to the fullest… For allowing me to show my truest and greatest love for you… for filling the empty parts of my life and completing me… thank you for accepting the real me as a whole, for appreciating both of my positive and negative qualities. Thank you for listening, you are the only person that even without saying anything, I still can feel that is truly there for me… Thank you for allowing me to see all the big and small special magical things about you, that separates you from the world, that makes me love you even more because of your uniqueness… I love how you make me feel young when you walk like a kindergarten… I love how you remove my shyness when you get shy too by being conscious and placing your left hand to your left cheek and rubbing them of gently with your head slowly tilting down… makes me love you more when you smile while the wind blows your hair down… I love your voice and the way you talk, It’s the best music my ears have ever heard… You make me love and appreciate you more with all the unintentional things that you are doing… I love how you just want a simple quiet happy life with a man who would make you feel so worthy every day until you grow old… I love that special mark on your left shoulder, it compliments you wonderfully… I love how you make me feel special when you want to go to the church with me to light a candle… There are a lot of things I would like to say on how much I love every part of you but it will take me so many lifetimes of letters to describe how special and everything you are to me…

        I’ve never loved anyone in my 25 years of life the way I love you… You are my greatest love and no one can ever replace you, not only in my heart, but my whole life…

        A lifetime of letters, flowers, balloons and other varieties of gifts wouldn’t be enough to return all the happiness you have given to me… I truly love every bit of you...

        While I’m writing this letter, tears never stop pouring and I know they will never ever stop until the very day that I have always been dreaming will come… I will wait for you even if it takes a lifetime, as long as in the end, you will run into my arms and you will never leave by my side for the rest of your time… If you’re not the one who is walking in the aisle towards me then I’d rather grow old alone… I will let go of you but I will never ever let go of my love for you… Sobrang walang kasing mahal na mahal kita Princess…
