A Traveller’s Outrageous Tough-Ride (Mountains Of Bukidnon)

BUKIDNON Province located in Northern Mindanao Philippines has vast plantations of Pineapple thus it is known as the Pineapple Capital of the Philippines. Its setting is similar to that of Baguio in Northern Luzon, it is cold and mountainous which is very perfect for Horses and Cowboys thus, having been dubbed the name as “Little Baguio of Mindanao”.

Here in BUKIDNON, You can see the New Longest and Fastest Zipline in Whole of Asia which is found in DAHILAYAN ADVENTURE PARK. It contains 3 Ziplines which are 150 meters, 320 meters and 840 meters, all for the price of 600 Philippine Pesos only. The Fastest and most convenient way of getting to Bukidnon is riding their roundtrip van transport for only 350 Philippine Pesos. You will just need to have a reservation to their office and they will pick you up at 8 in the morning at Cagayan De Oro’s Cofiworks and at 5 in the afternoon they will drop you off in the same establishment. The Gateway to Bukidnon is Cagayan De Oro and it will take you about one and a half hours to arrive at Dahilayan Adventure Park.

There are also other activities in Dahilayan besides Zipline. There is also the Forest Camp, Horseback Riding, ATV and Zorb. The most popular restaurant there is Cowboy’s Grill where they serve delicious varieties of Steaks.

Truly, BUKIDNON is the place for green living things, horses and cowboys. And it’s nice to feel that for a day, you get to experience the life of being a Cowboy…

A Traveller's Sleeping Inferno (Journey To The Volcanic Crater Of Pinatubo)

MOUNT PINATUBO located in ZAMBALES has created one of the biggest natural destructions in Philippine History and in the World. The Volcano erupted from July 1990 to June 15, 1991 and formed Ash-falls from Northern Luzon up to Northern Visayas for months, raising Death Tolls from Ash-floods, closing roads and disrupting land, air and sea travels in the area of the Northern Philippines. And that is Nature’s Destructive and unparalleled power and it can’t be stopped.

However, after 20 years, Mount Pinatubo is considered as one of the most recommended Tourist spots in Central Luzon where locals are already earning from the ruins of gray ashes…

My Voyage to the top of Mount Pinatubo is one of my most memorable adventures because I endured a lot but it was all worth it. From a 2 hour 4x4 jeep ride, I will trek another 2 hours through strong rivers, large rocks and enormous ash formations just to see the grand scenic view of its Crater… I guarantee that all the pains, soreness, blisters and wounds are all going to be worth it. Once you’ve seen its astonishing Crater, you just can’t help but say “WOW!”… As I arrived down to its crater side, I jumped and swam right away to its Crystal Blue Water where it’s freezing cold. It’s a 320 feet depression so you must bring life-vests if you don’t know how to swim. I rented a boat to go to the other side of the Crater where the water is a little warmer and I boiled an egg there using only the warm sand of the Sleeping Volcano.

The weather all day was cloudy and windy and that’s a good thing because if the weather is sunny and hot, I would be toasted and dehydrated which is more punishment for me.

As I was riding the 4x4 jeepney, I am passing to villages where the Aeta’s live, I just can’t help but wonder that they were the original Filipino blood and yet they seemed to be the ones who are like Foreigners to the place they first discovered. They are like outcasts to the Filipino Society. They have no access to Medical services, their homes are just made of dried leaves of mountain plants and they don’t have enough nutrition especially the kids. I want to leave that sad picture to you and hope in the future, you could help me do something about helping out our True Ancestors which are the Aetas…

With only 2,500 Philippine Pesos per person, inclusions are snacks, lunch and dinner, rent of 4x4 jeep, 2 tour guides, tent, boat rent, permit to climb by the Airforce, shower with soap and the unforgettable experience that you will be proud of for the rest of your life and now I can say that “Happy Loner Traveller” has survived the wearisome design of Mount Pinatubo!

A Traveller's Skylarking Enclave (An Island Of FUN Adventure)

When you feel so stressed that you become so problematic of it, why do you have to be so patient in dealing with it? You are just leading yourself towards Self-destruction. My best advice to you would be to escape, run and recharge yourself even for a while then come back with a stronger and better “YOU” to face all of your daily problems and stressors which is a part in the Cycle of Life. And that quick escapade that I’m suggesting to you is very affordable and it’s just 45 minutes away from the metropolitan Manila City, the Capital of the Philippines… It is ISLAND COVE in Kawit, Cavite.

It is literally a separate Island from the main road where it is connected by a concrete bridge. For me, this is the ultimate vacation for a Traveller when it comes to the number of activities, everything that you desire can be found here. From Jogging, Biking, Body-Building Gym, Interactive Zoo, Swimming, Paintball, Airsoft, Slide & Rappel, Fishing, Singing Videoke, Spa & Massage, Fine Dining Restaurants & Bar, Camping, Great Hotel Accommodations and Free Concerts at night by invited Celebrities at its Park.

Well, these ventures will definitely relax and rejuvenate your being… It has been so helpful to me because it allows you to reconnect with your inner self becoming like a kid again where the only thing you have to wonder is the enjoyment and laughter of your Soul and Spirit…
